We bring you the week in beer once again. Monday, as always, Room 11 will have a special guest tap. This week is Great Divide Hercules Double IPA. Also Monday is a multi-course Dogfish Head beer pairing dinner at Fourth Estate, the restaurant at the National Press Club.

Wednesday the fine folks at DCBeer.com are having a Tweet Up at The Big Hunt. Also Wednesday, Tuscarora Mill in Leesburg is having “Beers of Belgium” dinner featuring the Kasteel, Gouden Carolus, Delirium, and Hughye lines of beers.

There are two Flying Dog tastings this week, no doubt featuring their new brew, a to-be-cleverly-named-soon coffee stout. You can try it at The Wine Specialist on Thursday evening or Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits on Saturday afternoon.

Something we have very much been looking forward to, Biergarten Haus, DC’s first traditional German beer garden (that we know of), opens this Friday on H Street. Ein Prosit! (oder zwei oder drei… Who are we kidding? We will most likely be prosting all night!)
