Mussel Bar, the new Belgian gastropub in downtown Bethesda we told you all about a few weeks ago was re-scheduled to open today after the original date came and went. Turns out that expectant bivalve and Belgian ale fans will have to wait yet another day.
Apparently the staff has needed more training, and more training, and more training, but the official word via Mussel Bar’s active Facebook page is that they are finally ready. Doors will open tomorrow, July 22, at 6:00pm.
Devastated? Robert Wiedmaier and his crew put together and posted a loosely-edited amateur video today that should satiate your curiosity. (Calm down. The only scene that could be considered pornographic is an extreme close-up of some frites.)
Oh, and it’s not a pizza. It’s a tarte flambée. We hope they don’t take another training day to fix that one.
