Starting this Friday, Pizzeria Paradiso is giving a great gift to IPA-lovers in D.C. During JulyPA Days all the draft lines and casks at both the Dupont and Georgetown locations will be filled with delicious, hoppy IPAs.

But don’t think just because it’s a hopfest you won’t find variety. In addition to regular old India Pale Ales like Anchor Liberty, Paradiso will be pouring roasty Black IPAs like 21st Amendment Back in Black, fruity and funky Belgian-style IPA’s like Flying Dog Raging Bitch and strong, malty Double and Triple IPAs like Founder’s Devil Dancer (which the Lagerheads tried for the first time last week and loved).

The lists at both locations are top notch, with standards like Weyerbacher Double Simcoe and Dogfish Head 90 Minute alongside rarities like Three Floyds Alpha King and a sneak peek version of Bell’s Hopslam. Which ones have us looking at our calendars to see when we can get to both locations over the weekend with the possiblity of return trips next week? The Southern Tier 2XIPA and Bell’s Two Hearted on cask are on our must-have list.

Oh, and they’ll have  special IPA-inspired dishes to try with your glasses of hoppy goodness. Their I-nsalata P-aradiso A-ppetizer is an arugula and sweet pepper salad in a Lemon-Hop Vinaigrette.  The I-Pizz-A has roasted local peaches and apricots, prosciutto di parma, ricotta, goat cheese, basil, and hop olive oil. Now that one sounds good!
