Earlier this year, We Love DC wondered if the guys behind Taylor Gourmet were planning to open a fourth location off Dupont Circle, even as they were prepping for their third store in Bethesda. I recently asked co-owner Casey Patten if there were any truth to the rumor.

His response via e-mail:

“There was a chance we were opening up on Dupont but we lost the deal at the last minute to the current operator. Would have been a great spot.”
