Last night, I met with Y&H contributor Scott Reitz at the Black Squirrel in Adams Morgan. I had the bar’s tasty BLT sandwich, to which I took the liberty of adding a slice of Gruyere cheese. I wish I would have taken a photo, because the presentation was just precious.
Although I had an extra special BLT, it got me thinking about places around town that know a thing or two about not screwing up something as simple as bacon, lettuce and tomato. Who makes a special BLT with something extra? Where are your favorites of the classic standard?
