Followers of Taylor Gourmet‘s Twitter feed have something to anticipate tonight. In response this week’s Washington City Paper cover story, Taylor Gourmet has issued an announcement for a press conference of sorts, tweeting:

“State of the Hoagie Address” – Taylor Gourmet to address the nation tonight on @Twitter at 7PM EST

Their story may be hard to convey in 140 character chunks. But something tells me that the creative duo responsible for the sub shop has something interesting up their sleeves. I wonder if there will be a question-and-answer period after after they issue the statement?

Personally, I’m pulling for the hoagie hawkers. I mentioned in my story I’ve eaten a boat load of Taylor’s subs over the years, and I intend to keep doing so. Their website claims they are a green business touting environmentally-conscientious building materials, packaging, and waste-disposal choices. News that their rolls now arrive with a significantly smaller carbon footprint should only heighten that appeal.
