We all miss this blog’s former author, Tim Carman, here at Washington City Paper. And now it seems the James Beard Foundation does, too.
For the second year in a row, Carman’s work has been nominated for a prestigious Beard Award, this time for food-related columns and commentary. (Last year, Carman was up for best newspaper feature writing.) His rivals are Grist‘s Tom Philpott and the Wall Street Journal‘s Lettie Teague. The winners will be announced May 6 in New York.
Carman, of course, abandoned Adams Morgan for plusher offices at 1150 15th St. NW—but we’re rooting for him anyway. Congratulations, Tim, and good luck.
