In some ways, the 14-year-old Dupont Circle FreshFarm Market is a victim of its own success. The Sunday market can get awfully crowded. And for some early risers, the market isn’t open early enough. According to the FreshFarm organization, which runs 11 area markets, the Dupont location, currently on 20th Street NW between Massachusetts Avenue and Q Street NW, will expand northward on the block of 20th Street between Q Street and Connecticut Avenue.

That’s supposed to happen on April 3, along with a half-hour shift for opening operations. The hours of operation will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. There will also be a Compost Cab, “a clean, convenient and cost-effective pick-up service for your organic food waste,” according to a media advisory.
