Less than three weeks after opening, America Eats Tavern is losing its chef. No, not José Andrés. We’re talking about Richard Brandenburg, the former head chef at Cafe Atlantico who stayed on to help Andrés conceive the historically themed America Eats pop-up concept, which Y&H reviewed last week. WaPo critic Tom Sietsema reports that Brandenburg has taken a job with the Edens & Avant real estate company as its first “director of culinary strategy.”
