Joining the famed bacon-, cheese- and wine-of-the-month clubs is something decidedly more humble: soup.
Soupergirl, Sara Polon‘s bastion of broth in Takoma, has announced its “soupscriptions” plan, just in time for the coziest season of the year.
Four weeks of soup and salad can be arranged for either home or office delivery ($1.85 charge) or pick-up at several locations in D.C. and Maryland. Weekly options range from two quarts (one chunky soup, one pureed soup) for $95 to two quarts of soup plus a quart of salad for $135.
The soup spot also offers various care packages, priced between $38-$45, including the requisite soup, plus a theme-appropriate gift: an organic baby rattle for the “Welcome New Baby” kit and a mug with tea for the “Get Well Soon” option.
