The owner of the Tasty Kabob food truck tells WaPo that initial reports of a potentially deadly explosion inside his roving halal cart on Monday were a bit, um, overblown. Earlier today, the Post reported that a food truck’s propane tank had exploded near Logan Circle, sending one woman to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Y&H alum Tim Carman later gets the scoop from Tasty Kabob operator Steve Hanifi, who clarifies that (a) the accident happened closer to Metro Center, (b) the injured woman was a cook, (c) her injuries were somewhat minor, and (d) she has been treated, released and even offered to return to work. “At first, it seemed very shocking,” Hanifi tells Carman. “It was just something minor that blew out of proportion.”
