The folks at Heritage India inform Y&H that the Dupont Circle restaurant is now serving alcohol again following a temporary suspension of its liquor license in the aftermath of some deadly violence there last month. The eatery has posted the following statement on its web site:

The full bar at Heritage India Dupont Circle has re-opened as of Dec. 22. Our menu of wine, beer and cocktails is available during lunch, happy hour and dinner. We sincerely look forward to serving you again. At the same time, we reiterate our pledge to cooperate with the police department and city officials to ensure the safety of the dining public.
