Prix-fixe yourself: next week is D.C. Restaurant Week. Some 166 restaurants in the District are participating (that’s roughly 49 percent of the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington’s 337 D.C. members). Some eateries in surrounding suburbs are joining in the discounted menu offerings as well. For the full list, click here.
Next Wednesday, meanwhile, is “Chowda Day” at area Legal Sea Foods locations, where patrons can grab a bowl of New England-style clam chowder for just $1 a cup with the purchase of any entrée.
And, next Friday, James Beard Award-nominated chef Carole Greenwood hosts a “pop-up culinary adventure” inspired by the popular The Alice B. Toklas Cookbook. (No, she won’t be serving hashish spread, however.) The dinner takes place at Arlington’s Artisphere, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $150.
