President Barack Obama made his umpteenth appearance at a D.C.-area restaurant on Friday. This time, he dined with campaign donors at Scion in Dupont Circle. Eater DC calls the location “an interesting choice” for the president, considering the restaurant  is perhaps best known for its impressive beer list. It’s also one of four venues in the District that allow patrons to pour their own brews from fancy table taps. (Y&H previously chatted with co-owner Joanne Liu about the self-serve suds last spring.) ABC News offers some details on the lunchtime conversation. But not a word about what the commander-in-chief and company had to eat. If I were him, I’d order the lobster reuben (pictured). I presume he didn’t pour his own beer. Self-service, after all, isn’t exactly presidential.
