Wednesday is “Chowda Day” at Legal Sea Foods in Chinatown, with cups of the creamy white stuff selling for just a buck with the purchase of any entrée. Later, it’s game on for another “Wild Wednesday” at Thunder Burger in Georgetown. On the menu: reindeer stroganoff with mashed potatoes.

Coming up: On Friday, Carole Greenwood‘s ode to The Alice B. Toklas Cookbook takes place at Artisphere in Arlington (minus the famous hashish spread, of course). Then, on Sunday, Todd Gray‘s Muse hosts a Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial brunch and, later that evening, Bourbon hosts a viewing party where Sticky Fingers aficionados can watch D.C.’s best-known vegan bakery defend its title on Cupcake Wars.

And, later this month: D.C. Meat Week kicks-off Jan. 29 with specials at various meat meccas in the District and the ‘burbs.
