Tonight: of all the various Valentine’s Day-themed promotions, Urbana Chef John Critchley‘s current bar specials might be the most tongue in cheek. I mean that literally. Critchley is serving up hearts (palm and calf), cheeks (pork and veal) and tongues (beef and lamb) priced from $7 to $12 per plate. What better way to internalize your love than by treating that special someone to internal organs.
Coming up: tomorrow is one of the restaurant industry’s busiest days. If you don’t already have a reservation, well, good luck. Thankfully, some places, such as the Queen Vic, are first-come, first-served. You will need a sense of humor, however, when reading the menu. Featured items include a “pork sword” and “pink love tunnel.”
