For months now, Graffiato‘s Mike Isabella and his reps have been downplaying rumors about a planned Greek restaurant at 14th and W Streets NW. They’re not denying the Top Chef alum’s interest in that corner. But they’re insisting no deal is done. Appearing on The Kojo Nnamdi Show on Wednesday, Isabella, who spent nearly three and half years cooking Mediterranean dishes at Zaytinya before opening his own place, was asked yet again to address all the hubbub. He’s still not divulging much: “It would be a goal of mine in my career definitely to open up on 14th Street. And we all know I did cook a lot of Greek cuisine, so it’s going to happen. When and where, well, hopefully, we’ll know sooner than later, but you just never know. Things take time. So at this point, nothing is confirmed. But, hopefully, I can, you know, open up something.”
