Tonight: Thunder Burger chef Ryan Fichter’s weekly serving from his wild jungle cookbook comes full circle, with alligator (his first ever “Wild Wednesday” special) re-emerging as the exotic meat du jour. This time, the reptile takes the form of fried fritters, served with a cilantro cream, for $8 per plate. Maybe it’ll taste like chicken, or maybe you’ll be surprised by its likeness to pork. Either way, it’s an experience.

Coming up: on Sunday, operators of a new food truck, Rito Loco, will dishing up free burritos, a preview of the roving eats mobile’s new fare, during brunch at District Underground in Adams Morgan, beginning at noon. The event also features drink specials, including $5 Bloody Marys and $15 for bottomless mimosas.
