On Saturday, Jack Rose hosts a brunch-time precursor to this year’s splashy Taste of the Nation charity event. Cooks from some of D.C.’s top eateries, including Belga Café, Café Saint-Ex, Bar Pilar, Domku, and Shake Shack, are preparing the food, while noted mixologists Gina Chersevani, Rachel Sergi, Chantal Tseng and David Fritzler handle cocktails. And baristas from Peregrine Espresso will keep everyone heavily caffeinated. Tickets are $40. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit Share Our Strength’s efforts to end childhood hunger. Get yours here.
On Sunday afternoon, the monthly H Street Bakes kicks off at The Big Board and, later, The Passenger hosts a charity bash to benefit breast cancer research with drink specials and D.C. Brau on tap.
