Good Stuff Eatery‘s Spike Mendelsohn and a bunch of his chef buddies are getting together on Saturday for a fundraiser at the Pierce School Lofts on Capitol Hill. Mendelsohn is making his signature Obama burgers. The Source‘s Scott Drewno is creating some tuna cones. Volt’s Bryan Voltaggio is partnering with preeminent pork purveyor Bev Eggleston in roasting a whole pig. Toki Underground‘s Erik Bruner-Yang is bringing shrimp and mushroom dashi chips. And that’s just some of the tasty stuff in store. Also: raffle prizes, including an eight-course dinner for four at Toki and a $100 gift certificate to Chix. Proceeds benefit Mendelsohn’s Good Stuff Gardens program to send two kids to culinary school. Admission, including one raffle ticket, costs $100 per person. Get yours here.

Also on Saturday: Barracks Row Main Street hosts its annual Taste of 8th. Meanwhile, seven D.C.-area chefs will compete to see who can create the best beer and dish pairings in the Ommegang Hop Chef competition at the Atlas Theater.

Coming up: On Tuesday, Cashion’s Eat Place hosts a four-course, $80-per-person wine dinner spotlighting the wines of Campania’s Grotta del Sole.
