New York Avenue Beach Bar, 645 New York Ave., NW

More than 70 tons of sand have been brought in from Ocean City to recreate the beach. New Sundevich food truck will be there when it opens tonight.

Quench, 9712 Traveille Gateway Dr., Rockville

Rockville spot aims to bring the city to the suburbs with “progressive American cuisine” and a 40-cocktails drink list.

Sakuramen, 2441 18th St., NW

Ramen, dumplings, and bun served lunch and dinner at the latest addition to Adams Morgan. Late night service coming soon.

Tryst Phillips, 1600 21st St., NW

Adams Morgan coffeehouse Tryst now has an outpost near the Renoirs and van Goghs at The Phillips Collection.
