Far East Taco Grille food truck is opening a brick-and-mortar location and a second truck this summer.

Owner Alex Cho tells Y&H that the small grab-and-go shop near H Street NE will have an open kitchen and counter for people to stand and eat, but no seating.

The menu hasn’t been finalized yet, but expect the Asian fusion tacos Far East is known for, as well as burritos, quesadillas, and “kimchi fries” (meaning batter-fried kimchi, not fries covered in kimchi).

As for the second truck, Cho says it will focus on fusion burritos, not tacos. The exact name is still in the works, as is the menu. Cho expects both to debut sometime mid-summer.

Even more trucks are finding stationary homes. As Washingtonian first reported last week, Takorean and DC Empanadas have plans to open up shop in the new Union Market development off Florida Avenue NE.

On the flip side, SUNdeVICH sandwich shop in Shaw unveiled its new truck at New York Avenue Beach Bar last week, and Food Truck Fiesta reports that BONMi at 19th and I streets NW plans to launch a truck this June.

UPDATE: The address for Far East Taco Grille’s storefront is 409-A 15th St. NE
