Last week, Casa Nonna ended its two-year run. Then yesterday, 37-year-old Armand’s Pizza announced plans to close on June 30. The restaurant gods must be angry, because today brought even more bad news:
ARLnow.com reports that bacon-centric American eatery Restaurant 3 (rebranded as 3 Bar & Grill) in Clarendon will shut down after tonight. Just down the street, Market Tavern shuttered two weeks earlier.
Y&H has also learned that Litestars at 2101 L St. NW is now closed. No word yet as to the reason.
And lastly, the blog Frozen Tropics brings word that Fruit Bat on H Street plans to close on June 9. But (good news!) it plans to reopen with a new concept on July 1. You can follow its progress on Twitter @mysterybardc. Stop by from next Tuesday until closing day for $4 Summer Punch all night and $5 for every other drink from 5-7 p.m.
