PAUL Bakery opens at 1000 Connecticut Ave. NW today at 7 a.m. with free baguettes or large macarons (chocolate, raspberry, or pistachio) for the first thousand customers.
This is the third D.C. location for PAUL after Penn Quarter and Georgetown. Two more shops are planned for the area this year. The chain, which started in Lille, France in 1889, now has nearly 500 stores in 25 countries from Spain to Qatar to Japan.
