The California-based chain largely credited with popularizing frozen yogurt is unfreezing it. Yes, Pinkberry is now selling unfrozen Greek yogurt. Or, as we like to call it, yogurt.
And it turns out you don’t have to go to Greece, or even Los Angeles, to sample it: D.C. and Boston are the guinea pigs for Pinkberry’s new/old product. “Pinkberry Greek” is available at the Dupont Circle and Georgetown locations as well as National Harbor, Clarendon, Farifax, McLean, and Leesburg—all of which are now open at 8 a.m. for breakfast.
Like the frozen variety, “Pinkberry Greek” can be paired with a variety of fruit toppings, granolas, or “natural sweeteners.” There are also savory options like Caprese, pesto, and cucumber flavors with veggies, herbs, sauces, and oils. Prices for frozen and unfrozen yogurt are the same.
Want to try it? Pinkberry is giving away free samples of the “yo” at all D.C.-area locations this Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon.
