Get ready to drink like a pirate, because today is National Rum Day. (Yes, it exists. Don’t ask questions.)
Cuba Libre in Penn Quarter is celebrating with half-off rum and rum cocktails (including a dozen types of mojitos) today during “Caippy Hour” from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the bar area. The restaurant serves more than 90 varieties of rum as well as its own branded rums, which are aged up to 21 years.
Small bites, including empanadas or pork and pine nut meatballs with warm hot and sour mushrooms, are also available for $4.
