Former Clyde’s Restaurant Group corporate controller Nancy Preston faces 20 years in prison after pleading guilty yesterday to embezzling $647,547.

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the theft spanned a decade, from 2001 to 2011. Preston diverted money from Clyde’s to pay her personal credit card. She also used the company’s corporate credit cards to pay for personal expenses and used a Clyde’s vendor to obtain goods for her personal use. To cover the embezzlement, Preston asked a vendor to alter invoices, faked emails, and miscategorized expenses. She also altered her corporate credit card statement when she found out about a company audit.

He sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 12.
