In today’s cover story, Washington City Paper contributor Daniel Fromson takes a look at one of D.C.’s most highly regarded brewers: Nathan Zeender.
Never heard of him? Chances are you will soon. The home-brewer with a passion for unusual barrel-aged beers is going pro. He’s teaming up with Pizzeria Paradiso and Brasserie Beck alum Thor Cheston to open a brewpub called Right Proper. Together, they plan to create a rustic space (mostly like to be located in Shaw) that will feature Zeender’s avant-garde sour and funky ales.
Read Fromson’s profile to find out why Zeender is unlike other brewers—-and why Right Proper will be unlike any bar or restaurant around.
