The highly anticipated opening of José Andrés‘ new and improved Minibar is the latest victim of Hurricane Sandy.

ThinkFoodGroup Senior Communications Manager Maru Valdes tells Y&H the first seatings will now take place on Nov. 7, instead of Nov. 2. She explains that government closings due to the storm caused delays in final inspections and permitting. That means diners with reservations for the $225-plus dinner on Nov. 2, 3, and 6 will have to reschedule.

One diner whose reservation was canceled tells Y&H that Minibar offered her first pick on several suggested dates a month or so out. Reservations are normally made on a first-come-first-served basis beginning at 10 a.m. one month in advance via email.
