D.C. restaurants and bars helped locals survive Hurricane Sandy with their food and booze, and now some are looking to give even more. Here are a few eateries helping with storm relief efforts:

  • 1789 Restaurant will donate 20 percent of its total sales revenue on Nov. 4 to the Red Cross hurricane relief fund.
  • EatWell DC restaurants (Grillfish, Logan Tavern, Commissary, The Heights, and The Pig) will donate $2 for every bottle of wine sold during the entire month of November to Red Cross relief efforts.
  • Family Meal in Frederick, Md., is giving all first responders and utility crews who show IDs a 20 percent off their checks from Nov. 5-11.
  • The Hamilton will host a tribute to The Band’s The Last Waltz and a turkey dinner on Nov. 11 with all proceeds also going to the Red Cross.
