It seems Congress does have a sweet side, despite the bitterness displayed this election cycle.

Sprinkles brings word that 124 congressional offices participated in its Pay It Forward campaign, which allowed members of Congress to send a dozen free cupcakes to a representative of the opposing party.

Unfortunately, Sprinkles’ owners would not comment specifically on who sent cupcakes to who. But of the total orders so far, 66 of them came from Republican offices gifting to Democrats, and 58 were from Democrats gifting to Republicans. Tuesday’s results may be completely up in the air, but now the Republicans know they’re at least winning one numbers game.
