Room 11 is set to open its expanded bar and dining area tomorrow, serving coffee and pastries by day and amaro, aperitifs, and vermouths at night.

The expanded space will open at 8 a.m. every day for fresh-baked pastries and coffee from local roasters Ceremony and Vigilante, then transition to lunch and a light drink menu midday. The bar will have four wine draft lines: one red, one white, one vermouth, and one rotating cocktail or amaro special. Co-owner Paul Ruppert tells Y&H that the bar would like to eventually make its own vermouth.

Room 11 also has a few new hires. Former Family Meal chef de cuisine Adam Howard is overseeing the kitchen, and Society Fair and Northside Social alum Portia Eastham is in charge of the coffee program.

Meanwhile, Paisley Fig owner Lizzy Evelyn (wife of founding partner Nick Pimentel) has joined the team as a partner and full-time baker. Evelyn previously provided desserts to Room 11 on a wholesale basis and has also supplied Cork and Qualia Coffee in addition to a stint as pastry chef at Cafe Saint-Ex. In addition to pastries and desserts, Room 11 will also take special orders for celebration cakes and Thanksgiving pies.
