Holiday time equals drinking time. But instead of packing on the Christmas 15 on a steady diet of egg nog, Ripple bartender Josh Berner taught us how to make a lighter, more refreshing holiday drink called “Eat the Lemon.” Berner initially created this sparkling wine-based cocktail for his summer menu, but with the peppermint flavor, it’s just as suited for sipping in snowflake season.
He’ll be demonstrating how to make cocktails like this one for a holiday cocktail class at Ripple this Saturday, Dec. 8. There will also be a Champagne cocktail class on Jan. 12 and a date night cocktail session on Feb. 16. Advance reservations for the $45 classes are required and can be made by calling (202) 244-7995 or emailing Berner at josh@ripple.com.
