What’s your favorite comfort food in D.C.?

“DC Noodle was my favorite place to eat noodle soups without having to leave the city. It was my go-to spot for takeout on a gloomy day or to fix a hangover. I would always get the spicy ginger noodle soup with chicken. The broth is sweet and sour and has great depth. The ginger plays very well with the heat and the chicken both white meat and chicken meatballs. I was super bummed when they closed, but recently found out they are serving the DC Noodle menu out of their sister restaurant Rice on 14th. In the past week, I have ordered pick-up three times.”

“The pastor burrito from Pica Taco. It’s consistently good and a block from home. “

“Dim sum at Hollywood East in Wheaton. It was something my late mother-in-law introduced me to, and we had many a special time together marveling at the carts and the treats and the treasures.”
