The downtown space that once belonged to Roberto Donna‘s Galileo III will soon be home to a modern Mexican restaurant called MXDC. Panache owner Aziz Safi is behind the eatery, which is slated to open in the next three to four weeks.
Helming the kitchen will be J.C. Pavlovich, who hails from Tijuana and previously worked with Bobby Flay in New York and Las Vegas (and appeared on Iron Chef with him). Safi is keeping the menu details under wraps for now.
The dining room at 600 14th St. NW has been completely revamped after a year of construction. Aziz describes it as “a combination of modern and rustic, but it’s very comfortable and chic too.”
