The restaurant-opening spree continues tonight with the debut of Vendetta on H Street NE and Piola on 14th Street NW.

Jimmy Silk, a partner in H Street Country Club and Capitol Lounge, teamed up with restaurateur Joe Englert on Vendetta, an Italian joint with two indoor bocce courts. Chef James Figueroa-Perez, who comes to D.C. from Miami, will specialize in pastas as well as nightly specials. For $16, diners choose from bucatini, pappardelle, farfalle, penne, tagliatelle, gnocchi, or tortellini to match with one of eight sauces, including squid ink, rabbit ragu with broccoli rabe, and walnut kale pesto. Stake out a spot at the 16-seat upstairs bar with Vespas suspended from the ceiling and drink Prosecco on tap or a cocktail. Silk says Vendetta is accepting walk-ins only for now, but the restaurant will begin taking reservations on Wendesday.

If you’re craving pizza instead, head to Piola. The restaurant, which has locations across the globe, is offering half-off food all week. The extensive list of pies are named after cities: The Rio de Janeiro with pulled chicken breast and Catupiry (a creamy cheese that is popular in Brazil), the Milano with gorgonzola and diced tomatoes, and the Istanbul with mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes, and arugula.
