Meridian Pint is no longer the only place where you can find the small-batch botanical sodas with foraged ingredients from WildCraft Soda‘s Nathan Zeender. Beginning this weekend, the future brewer of Shaw’s Right Proper brewpub is setting up shop at the Mount Pleasant Farmers’ Market every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Zeender says he’ll pour four types of sodas from draft boxes. In addition to Groot Beer and the fruity-tangy Ebulon soda (both already available at Meridian Pint), Zeender will debut two new flavors. One is a Citra-hopped lemon soda inspired by 3 Stars Brewing Company‘s Citra and lemon peel saison. The other is an amaro soda with more than 30 botanicals dubbed “Amaro Amodeo.” The name comes from collaborator Francesco Amodeo of Don Ciccio & Figli, a local limoncello and liqueur producer, who supplied Zeender with an old family recipe.
Going forward, Zeender plans to try new flavors that incorporate market plants and fruits like tart cherry, peaches, or apples.
