Legal troubles aside, Toki Underground chef Erik Bruner-Yang is proceeding with his latest project: a three-month “residency and test kitchen” at U Street NW Vietnamese restaurant Hanoi House. Bruner-Yang will play with dishes for Maketto, the food and fashion market he’s opening on H Street NE with DURKL’s Will Sharp later this year.

Bruner-Yang and chef de cuisine James Wozniuk will prepare a frequently changing menu inspired by Asian street food and served family-style for $30 per person at Hanoi House. There will also be a dim sum cart available throughout the evening. Allergies and dietary restrictions will not be accommodated.

The “residency” begins July 15 with dinners Mondays through Saturdays for the next three months. Reservations officially open today at hanoihousedc.com.
