ShopHouse, Chipotle’s younger, Southeast Asian-inspired cousin, opens its second D.C. location in Georgetown today. The M Street NW spot is slightly bigger than the Dupont Circle original with seating for 40, but otherwise the fast casual spin-off operates along the same lines as its predecessor. Diners walk up to the counter and build their own bowls from a selection of meats, vegetables, and sauces. Like Chipotle, its menus tout the fact that its ingredients are “sustainable” and antibiotic-free.
Next up for ShopHouse: locations in Chinatown (710 7th St. NW), Bethesda (4820 Bethesda Ave.), and Rockville (11800 Rockville Pike).
