Located in the heart of Courthouse, Wilson Tavern has quickly established itself as the local watering hole of the neighborhood.  If you’ve ever wanted to walk into a bar and use the term, “I’ll have the usual,” then this is the place for you.  It’s the type of bar that appreciates its Regulars and prides itself on Customer Service.  So much so that they immortalize their Regulars’ names’ with plaques on the wall!

One of the first things that caught our attention is every drink is served in a 16oz glass.  So whether you’re ordering their Happy Hour featured cocktails or Mimosas and Bloodies over the weekend, you’re guaranteed to always be getting a double for the price of a single!  They don’t skimp on the “fun” drinks either.  Rotating alcoholic slushies?  Check.  Fresh squeezed Orange Crush?  Check.  Alcoholic Sno Cones?  Check, check.  It almost makes you feel like a kid again, but with the privileges of an adult!

Now that we’re in the midst of Football season, Wilson Tavern has definitely established itself as a Hokie Heaven!  Decked out everywhere in Maroon and Orange, they even offer the “VT Rail” in custom cups.  Yes, they somehow got their hands on the ToTS Rail “secret” recipe.  This doesn’t mean anything to you unless you went to school in Blacksburg, but we’ll say this…come try one if you ever want to reminisce what it was like to be 21 again!

While Wilson Tavern is also known for their theme parties (Monsters Ball!  Orange Crush!  Condoms & Candy Necklaces!), they offer a solid line up of food specials every night of the week:

Monday: $.25 Jumbo Wing Night
Tuesday: $2 Tacos and Trivia
Wednesday: 1/2 Priced Burger Night
Sunday:  1/2 Priced Racks of Ribs
Saturday & Sunday: Brunch 10am-2pm

We wish we could talk about their drink specials, but unfortunately Virginia ABC law won’t let us.  Shoot them an email at info@wilsontavern.com for this information.  Also be sure to check out their Facebook and website www.wilsontavern.com and sign-up for their newsletter.  Rumor has it, they even let you and your friends sign up for “Cheap Drinks.”  Just that very thought has us ready for “Bench Dancing” in there on Saturday Night!
