While José Andrés‘ new line of Spanish food products was supposed to officially debut in Whole Foods last week, many of the stores have been slow to actually stock the stuff on their shelves. But as they do, here’s an incentive to pick up some Andrés-stamped sherry vinegar and sardines: free tapas at Jaleo. All three D.C.-area locations will give diners a complimentary tapa when they present a Whole Foods receipt to the server at the beginning of the meal.
The fine print: You must purchase one tapa of equal or greater value to get the free food. The limit is one free tapa per person per visit. The offer expires Nov. 30.
Last week, Y&H conducted a blind taste test comparing Andrés’ extra virgin olive oil and Himalayan pink salt potato chips to five other big brands. Check out the results here.
