After a week-long renovation, The Heights reopens tonight with a revamped lounge and dining area, new menu, and new late-night hours.
In celebration, the Columbia Heights restaurant and bar will offer an all-night happy hour at the bar and in the new lounge area until close tonight. New late-night hours go until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and 11:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
Chef Kerry Tate‘s new dinner menu includes grilled flatbreads, burgers, sandwiches, “share plates” like pan seared scallops and chicken wings, and entrees ranging from fish and chips to maple-brined pork tenderloin to house-made fettucine with fennel sausage. On the late-night menu, find dishes like pork belly mac and cheese, ginger calamari, and “French fried” oysters. Oysters on the half-shell are $21 a dozen, one of the better oyster deals around town. There’s also a new drink menu including classic cocktails and a dozen specialty cocktails that range from $8 to $12. Check out the full menus below.
The reopening festivities continue this weekend with a “garden party” on The Height’s 80-seat patio with half price beer and wine from 2 p.m. to close.
