PoPville’s got some more “really sweet scuttlebutt from a pretty reliable source” saying that the team behind Mintwood Place and/or Top Chef season 7 winner Kevin Sbraga are opening restaurants at the CityMarket at O development in Shaw.

But that source may not be so reliable: “He’s getting bad info,” says Roadside Development’s Jeff Edelstein, who’s working to bring in tenants to CityMarket at O. “We’re at lease now. We should be able to to say soon.”

“I’m not doing anything right now,” Mintwood Place owner Saied Azali told Y&H. “I do talk to a lot of real estate people. I did talk to these people, but I’m not doing anything.” He says he’s concentrating on the changes coming to his other restaurant Perry’s, which is going back to its Japanese roots.

Edelstein previously told Eater that Sbraga, who’s based in Philadelphia, was looking at some sites in D.C. for a restaurant with the hope of getting something signed this year. But Sbraga’s publicist Donna Breitbart says he has no contract for anything in D.C. yet. “If it happens, it’s not going to be for a while,” she says.
