After 18 years, Jeff and Barbara Black‘s first restaurant, Addie’s, will serve the last meal at its Rockville location on Nov. 27. The couple, who also own Pearl Dive Oyster Palace, BlackSalt, Black Market Bistro, and others, plan to eventually reopen Addie’s in a new location in the D.C. area.
Negotiations over the lease at 11120 Rockville Pike came to an impasse, according to a press release. Although the restaurant will close near the end of November, the lease carries through December, and Addie’s will use the space during that time for private parties and holiday events. (Guests can book the space by contacting Jen Dyson at (202) 319-1612 or jdysonevents@blackrestaurantgroup.com.)
In the weeks leading up to its closure, Addie’s, named after Jeff Black’s grandmother, will resurrect best hits from over the years. Check for specials on the restaurant’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
