Maple in Columbia Heights will soon double in size and start taking reservations. PoPville first reported that the wine bar and restaurant is expanding into the next door space that previously belonged to Columbia Heights Coffee.

Lori Robertson, who owns the restaurant with her husband Eric Gronning, tells Y&H the new space will allow Maple to expand its kitchen, open an outdoor patio in the backyard, and add about 40 seats, including a second-floor dining area that can be reserved for private events.

Maple is aiming to open its expanded dining room in the spring and will probably have to close briefly at some point.
