Taylor Gourmet has joined the app craze. The hoagie chain follows Sweetgreen and Cava Mezze Grill, both of which also launched apps this year. (Sweetgreen co-owner Nic Jammet described his as “Uber for salads.”)
The apps for all three fast-casual chains were created by Massachusetts-based company LevelUp and allow you to pay and get rewards from your iPhone or Android. After entering your information, all you have to do is scan the app’s QR code at the register to pay. You automatically get $5 off on your first order with the app, plus an additional $5 for every $55 you spend.
Meanwhile, Woodward Takeout Food also recently launched an app (made by ChowNow) that allows you to browse the menu, place an order for pickup (at the time of your choosing), and pay in advance.
