Didn’t get what you wanted for Christmas? Here’s a chance to buy yourself a gift that keeps on giving. 3 Stars Brewing Company is starting a beer club called Illuminati Reserve Society that will give members perks and discounts throughout the year.

The biggest benefit? Five beers brewed (almost) exclusively for members of the club. Members will also be the first and only drinkers to have bottles of 3 Stars beer, which has only been available on draft at local bars and restaurants or in take-away growlers at the brewery.

For $100, members get:

  • One 750-ml bottle of each of five Illuminati reserve beers released winter, spring, summer, fall and winter of 2014
  • Early access to and discounts on growler fills of special release beers in addition to the five members-only brews
  • A 10 percent discount on homebrew shop purchases
  • The opportunity to purchse pre-sale tickets to 3 Stars special events

It’s a good deal for anyone who is already an avid drinker of 3 Stars beers, and an even better deal for those who also homebrew. Just how exclusive are the beers, you might ask? According to a FAQ posted at DCBeer.com, the reserve beers may sometimes be offered to the general public, but only after club members have received their bottles.

3 Stars is the first production brewery in the D.C. area to start a membership program, following the footsteps of popular craft breweries like The Bruery in Placentia, Calif., and Cigar City in Tampa, Fla., which launched its El Catador Club in July. The soon-to-open Adroit Theory Brewing Company in Purcellville, Va., plans to sell multiple levels of subscriptions to their Black Heart Society.

Registration for 3 Stars’ Illuminati Reserve Society begins at 11 a.m. on January 2. Membership is limited to 150 people and runs through Dec. 31, 2014. Keep an eye out for updates on 3 Stars’ Facebook page for ordering info.
