Ice cream is probably the last thing on your mind on a day like today, but here’s something extra to make you look forward to spring: D.C.-based Ice Cream Jubilee will open its first storefront in the Capitol Riverfront area.

Founder Victoria Lai first launched Ice Cream Jubilee in July as a monthly ice cream “subscription” delivered to customers via bicycle. The frozen treats have since become available in a few local markets like Each Peach in Mount Pleasant and Glen’s Garden Market in Dupont.

The new 1,000-square-foot space will be located in the “Lumber Shed” development that also houses Agua 301 and Osteria Morini. Look out for flavors like Thai iced tea, banana bourbon caramel, and peanut butter and jam.
