A casual Mexican restaurant called Mission is set to replace One Lounge in Dupont Circle in the next two to three weeks.  Rodrigo Albarran, who owns the two locations of Maryland-based R&R Taqueria, will be executive chef, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page. R&R Taqueria is regularly named among the area’s best cheap eats.

The restaurant comes from Reed Landry and Fritz Brogan, who own George and Mason Inn in Georgetown. Landry tells Y&H he’s holding off on sharing details for now, but the restaurant’s Facebook page says the place will feature “authentic Mexican cuisine and a lively bar scene in a two level space with an exposed brick interior and Dupont’s larges outdoor patio.”

Stay tuned for more details.
