For the first time in its nine-year history, Hank’s Oyster Bar in Dupont will serve lunch every weekday, beginning April 1. The restaurant, as well as its locations in Old Town Alexandria and Capitol Hill, currently serve lunch only on Fridays.
With the expanded lunch hours in Dupont come expanded food offerings. The mid-day menu, available from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, is heavy on burgers and sandwiches, including new dishes like grilled cheese with tomato jam and a beer-battered cod sandwich with tartar sauce and Old Bay French fries. You’ll also find oyster and shrimp po’ boys, small plates like lobster bisque and popcorn shrimp and calamari, plus steamed mussels or veggie-plate specials. And, of course, let’s not forget oysters on the half-shell.
While there are no concrete plans to launch lunch throughout the week at the Capitol Hill or Old Town Alexandria locations, it is a possibility down the line. In the meantime, check out the new menu below:
